Each year around holiday time, the Food Network / Cooking Channel bring together their employees, partners and friends for a special cookie decorating party called Cookies & Cocktails.

Working with the experiential marketing agency, MKG, I created a refreshed visual identity for the 2015 event, along with a custom brush-script logotype.

Custom Logotype process

The original sketch was made out of cake frosting, then photographed, refined and carefully vectorized in to a balanced piece.

Swashes, ligatures and subtle shadows brought the logo to life to make it feel crafty and festive.
 

The logo was divided into two pieces to make signage for the Cocktail bar as well as the Cookie bar. Each sign was placed on top of a DIY wrapping paper backdrop.

The event was a sugary success, with lots of celebrity gingerbread parodies.
